Rules for using FinSnap.

1. The Services

FinSnap provides software tools designed to assist with financial document processing, reconciliation, and ledger preparation.

The Services:

• Extract and parse uploaded documents.
• Generate suggested matches and outputs.
• Allow users to review, override, and export results.

FinSnap is an assistive tool. It does not provide accounting, legal, or tax advice.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the Services.

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Ensuring information you provide is accurate and lawful.

3. User Content

Your Content

You retain ownership of all documents, data, and information you upload ("User Content").

By using the Services, you grant FinSnap a limited, non-exclusive right to process User Content solely to provide and operate the Services.

Your Responsibilities

You represent that:

• You have the right to upload and use the content you provide.
• Your use of the Services complies with applicable laws.
• You remain responsible for reviewing and validating all outputs.

4. Automated Outputs and Review

FinSnap generates automated outputs based on uploaded data.

You acknowledge that:

• Outputs are suggestions, not final determinations.
• Errors may occur due to data quality, document structure, or system limitations.
• You are responsible for reviewing, confirming, and approving all results.
• FinSnap does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or suitability for any particular purpose.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for unlawful purposes.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Services.
• Attempt to access systems or data not intended for you.
• Reverse engineer or misuse the Services.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

6. Availability and Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that the Services will meet all requirements or expectations.

7. Fees and Payments (If Applicable)

Certain features may require payment.

If you purchase a paid plan:

• Fees are billed as disclosed at the time of purchase.
• Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
• You are responsible for applicable taxes.

8. Intellectual Property

The Services, including software, designs, and documentation, are owned by FinSnap or its licensors.

You are granted a limited, non-transferable right to use the Services in accordance with these Terms.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available."

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FinSnap disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• FinSnap is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages.
• FinSnap’s total liability arising out of or related to the Services will not exceed the amount paid by you to FinSnap in the twelve months preceding the claim, or CAD $100 if no fees were paid.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FinSnap from claims arising out of:

• Your use of the Services.
• Your User Content.
• Your violation of these Terms or applicable laws.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access if:

• You violate these Terms.
• Continued use poses operational or legal risk.

Upon termination, your right to use the Services ends.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
